ABOUT LEBEM
Lebem is a community space located on the outskirts of Greater São Paulo - Brazil, in an area of social vulnerability and limited opportunities offered by the public sector.
Understanding the importance of holistic human development, we offer a variety of activities for free, including vocational courses, human values development, psychological support, art and culture workshops, sports, and much more.
Currently, we have a multi-sport court where weekly classes take place for children and young people in various sports. We develop skills in courses such as soccer, volleyball, tennis, basketball, and handball.
In addition to physical and cognitive aspects and technical development in different sports, our goal is also to strengthen bonds, teamwork, and socio-emotional skills.
All students also participate in the Values Meeting, a time for dialogue circles and dynamics where we discuss emotions, human values, and life issues relevant to our time.
The two Sports Courses, along with the Values Meeting, take place from March to June and from August to December, with weekly classes on Saturdays. Children (8 to 13 years old) have classes from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM, and youth (14 years and older) from 11:30 AM to 1:00 PM.
Each semester, the courses last for 16 classes, with a current cost of R$11,986.00 reais per year (around R$8,040.00 reais for the educator’s salary and over R$3,946.00 for sports materials, court maintenance, and equipment).
Increased donations can lead to expanding and enhancing sports equipment, hiring an assistant for the main educator, increasing class numbers, and potentially achieving the long-awaited court cover.
To continue this important activity, we rely on the support of partners who understand the significance of the project and contribute to making it happen. Lebem's mission is "To help each other, promote personal development, and generate hope for a happier life." Will you join us in transforming the lives of hundreds of people?
